My family was very pleased with the professional and thoughtful help from Amy Hurst in finding care for our parent. Amy was also particularly considerate in responding to our changing needs.

A little over a month ago, my wife and I found ourselves in the emergency department. I was newly wheelchair bound, having been freshly discharged from rehab after spinal cord surgery and I had a broken hand. My wife had blacked out from exhaustion as my sole caregiver and had just fallen and broken her arm. We were drained, in pain, running out of daylight, and with no one to care for us when we got home. A case manager recommended Absolute Senior Solutions and before I knew it, Amy Hurst was on the phone with me. Amy immediately went into action. She made calls to her team of caregivers, worked with our apartment manager, and arranged to have a caregiver in our apartment waiting for us when we arrived. It chokes me up to recall the relief I felt meeting our first caregiver Cora that first night. We were held and cared for like I could not have imagined possible. As we learned the extent of needed care, Amy again helped us by setting up fresh caregivers every 12 hours. Our profile wasn't typical, and there were times when I was a difficult client, requiring frequent assistance around the clock, but Amy and her team of caregivers bent over backwards to take care of us. We are grateful to Amy and the Absolute Senior Solutions caregivers for all their care, attention, and flexibility.

I was unexpectedly hospitalized at the Homestead campus. I needed short term home care for my wife. I called everyplace in Santa Cruz and they needed TB test, client interview, signed contract, etc. And they had no staff. Kaiser social service put me in touch with Amy at Absolute Senior Center. Amy empathically understood my needs and found short term home. Thank you Amy!!!

Absolute Senior Solutions was absolutely the best call we made when we needed care for my 85 year old father. He had a fall and needed temporary 24 hour care immediately. Absolute Senior Solutions was there for us with trained professional care givers who were always on time and even overlapped when necessary so that they could communicate daily details. We used them a few years ago for about 3- months while he was rehabbing and then used them more recently for 2- months while his partner recovered from a surgery. We would use them again anytime that we need in home care, we have referred them to a friend and would refer them again to anyone who needs quality in home care by caregivers who care about the well being and health of their patients. Absolute Senior Solutions has been caring for my mother 24/7 since July 2018. I have never considered another agency since their quality of services is top notch, and their prices are fairly competitive for the Bay Area. This 24/7 care is costly no matter how you rationalize it, but sometimes it is the right thing to do for "old mom", who has been a wonderful mother to me and my siblings. Our two caregivers, 5-day and 2-day, really care about my mom as a friend, and are considered an extension of our family. We needed transportation for a wheelchair bound quadriplegic family member on a ventilator. We were concerned about what we could do if he got delayed at doctor appointments. We also needed transportation on Christmas. We also wanted to have the caregiver AND a family member accompany sometimes accompany him. This company could do everything we wanted at a very reasonable price! And our driver, Yolanda, was INCREDIBLY helpful getting him to and from his appointments at a big and confusing Kaiser location. With all honesty and transparency, Absolute Senior Solutions helped our family at a time when we needed support the most. I learned about their services through a friend whose family also benefited from their services. Our family was in desperate need of senior health care services because my mother's dementia was worsening. Her cognitive abilities were taking a sudden turn for the worst where she needed full time care on many levels from assistance with mobility, exercise, day to day activities, bathing, restroom care, feeding and meal prep, and most importantly mental and cognitive stimulation and social engagement. Amy from Absolute Senior Solutions was not only able to respond immediately with sending a care provider and care giver, but her and the care taker were able to offer insight into the changes in my mother that we could expect to see as my mom continues to age and transition. The social/emotional/physical support they gave my mother and family are invaluable and when/if I need their services again, I will not hesitate to contact them.
